aperiodic monotile 

This project was inspired by the desire to make the outline of the aperiodic monotile recently discovered in March 2023- see: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Aperiodic_tiling

I wanted to make it easily scaleable so it could fit a particular hoop, and also easy to change the stitch length.

I then got carried away trying to make my own 'sew' command piece that allowed for variable stitches along the sewing line to make more interesting decorative stitches.

In the example here each stitch along a sewn line is extended sideways by a different amount to make a decorative effect that is a little like filling the interior of the aperiodic tile polygon.
