by brapacc
This is a starter project to create an Haiku and understanding the tinkering concept. Students are invited to create an Haiku.
As a teacher you could use the first part, and cutting the second one, as a debugging project.
Students can add their own design sèecific for the Haiku
Starting with a playful moment, Matsuo Bashō leads to a profound learning experience:
During a walk, a dragonfly inspired the master and his disciple Kikaku to compose a haiku that addresses something deeper.
One day, when Bashō and his pupil, Takarai Kikaku, were walking through the fields, they spotted dragonflies darting through the grass and flowers. Kikaku composed this haiku and looked to his master for approval.
A red dragonfly!
remove its wings —
a pepper pod!
“The dragonfly is dead.” the Master replied, “Now this is how to create life?”
Red pepper pods!
Add wings,
Behold, dragonflies!
