16 petals originates on an imaginary circle of radius 15 centred at the origin, facing radially outward, rather than all starting at the centre. For each petal the turtle jumps (pen up) to the pre-computed (x, y) point on the circle, sets its heading to point straight outward, then lays the satin stitch out and back. This spreads the inner ends of all petals evenly around the circle, eliminating the density pile-up at the origin.
